Overdrive06

So we just came back from Winter Camp. What an incredible time we had. I don’t even know where to begin. It was pretty amazing. Upon arrival, it started snowing, much to my dismay. I really don’t like snow (being cold for that matter). So inside, I cried a little when I saw the snow falling down.

The second service (Saturday morning) he talked about the power of worship over the enemy, and how it releases the power of God in our lives. Of course, you can’t talk about worship and not go crazy afterward. We had a great time worshipping God like crazy.

After the service, we broke them into workshops. Jason taught one on the power of media, and I did one on increasing your faith. Jeff and Tracee were supposed to make it to do workshops after lunch, but the snow actually kept them from making it to the camp. So I ended up doing the same workshop for the students that didn’t make it the first time around.

The third service, John talked about sexual purity and the importance of sexual integrity and your faith. Pretty interesting, and pretty much truth in your face. Once again, it didn’t surprise me how many students had fallen into some trap of sexual impurity. I remember praying for a student that had viewed some porn, and watched stuff on TV. This was a good church kid, and his parents had tried so hard not to expose him to “the world.” Unfortunately, that is just inevitable. Better to teach them the ways of truth rather than try to keep them from the lie. Otherwise they feel like they are missing out on something, and will often fall into the lie.

After the long and much needed altar time, the place went crazy just worshipping God. Students were literally all over the place dancing before the Lord. It was pretty awesome. I also realized that I am very out of shape!

Overall, it was a pretty awesome camp. Probably one of the best ones I have been to so far.
