The Apocalypse
31 Mar
2 nights, over 75 salvations! We just finished doing the most interesting and unique dramatic presentation called “The Apocalypse.” Wednesday and Thursday, the place was completely full with people! It was quite mind-numbing once you really start thinking about it.The set looked quite awesome, with broken walls, tons of burned junk laying everywhere. From a design standpoint, it is one of the better looking sets that we have made. Set building took about a week and a half. It looked pretty awesome.
The idea behind The Apocalypse is what it will be like when Jesus comes for the Church. When all of the saints are raptured away, what will the rest of the world be doing? It was quite incredible.
A few of the scenes were:
- A guy that tries to commit suicide, but can’t
- A mother who always did the “good things,” even taking her daughter to church. But she didn’t make the rapture
- A husband who’s wife always invited him, but he never went. The only thing he has left is a message on his cell phone from her (MAJOR TEARS)
- A girl that attended church, but missed the rapture because she never truly lived for Christ
There were a lot of parents and adults that attended, a first for Innerface. Our major dramatic presentations always attract adults, but never this many. Many scenes spoke directly to them. Once again, over 75 people came to Christ in the two nights. It was awesome.
